The active ingredients: Carbocisteine and Promethazine Therapeutic Indications: This drug is recommended for the relief of dry, irritating cough in adults and children over 2 years of age, particularly when occurring in the evening or at night. Dosage: This is intended to be used for Adults and Children over 2 years of age only For Children, use the 5ml measuring spoon supplied with the syrup and follow doctor’s prescription. As an indication: 24 to 30 Months: 3 to 4 measuring spoons per day 30 months to 12 years: 4 to 6 measuring spoons per day 12 to 15 Years: 6 to 9 measuring spoons per day Adults: 3 to 4 table spoons (15ml) per day. Side effects: The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away. Drowsiness Difficulty in breathing Allergic reactions Swelling of face Wheezing Skin rash Gastrointestinal bleeding Central nervous system depression Dryness of mouth Blurring of vision Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup may also cause side-effects not listed here. Hypersensitivity to Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup is a contraindication. In addition, Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrupshould not be used if you have the following conditions: Active peptic ulceration Adolescents Allergic to it or any of its ingredients Children Children below the age of two years Coma Concomitant therapy with monoamine oxidase inhibitor inhibitors Depression Hypersensitivity Lactation
